Outdoor Splits are designed for use outside when indoor systems would be difficult to install. For an aesthetic touch, a decorative rock cover is available in multiple colors. Like the indoor split, the Aston Series Outdoor Splits are engineered to be connected to an air handler or a fossil fuel furnace and automatically switch to the most economical heating source for improved energy conservation. All Aston units utilize ozone-safe R-410A refrigerant.
*It is recommended to install a GeoStar air handler with the Aston Indoor Split. The US Federal tax credit is only applicable when the GeoStar air handler is installed with the split unit.
A heavy-gauge galvanized steel cabinet finished with a durable powdercoat will withstand the elements. Fully insulated for quiet operation, the Aston Outdoor Split is the perfect choice for installations lacking indoor utility space.
Copeland UltraTech Scroll™ compressors are featured in all Aston products because of their superb efficiency and reliability. The compressors are mounted on isolation grommets for extra quiet operation.
Aston Outdoor Split units provide installation flexibility and are perfect for homes with little utility space. Place the Split outdoors and connect to either an indoor air handler or mate it to a coil on an existing furnace.
Because the unit is located outside, the flow center is conveniently mounted within the cabinet, eliminating the need for any indoor loop piping. The earth loop pipes enter the unit through an opening in the bottom panel.
A sophisticated microprocessor sequences components to provide ultimate performance and reliability. During cold outdoor temperatures, a freeze protection switch cycles the loop pumps to keep your system operating at the highest efficiencies.
All GeoStar units use R-410A – an environmentally friendly, non-ozone-depleting refrigerant that enhances efficiency and savings.
